The smallest man in the world dies

At a height of 54.6cm (21.5in), Chandra Bahadur Dangi was the smallest man in the world. He died Friday 4th September aged 75.

The loss of the smallest man on the Planet

It was the Guinness World Records (GWR) who announced the news of the passing of the Nepalese Chandra Bahadur Dangi who was granted his title in February 2012. Born an orphan, he often suffered from his status as a youth and was exhibited at fairs by his family.

“GWR are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Mr Chandra Dangi. We would like to express our sincere and heartfelt condolences to Mr Dangi’s family at this difficult time. He will be remembered forever as an iconic and extraordinary record holder.”

2 Meters Gap

Last November, Chandra had the chance to meet the tallest man in the world thanks to Guinness World Records. In the interview he said “I was very curious to meet my extreme opposite” when he met Tur Sultan Kösen who is 2.51m (8ft 3in), for the first time.
