It’s a gruesome discovery: a man discovered a dead body in his garden, and an American widow found several in her garage.
Plant a rose bush and find a bone
Xavier Vasseur did not expect such a discovery when he started his gardening last Wednesday. Living at Lesconil (France), he dug a hole 20 cm deep to plant a rosebush.
There he discovered the remains of a body: piece of skull, femur and tibia, etc. He contacted the police, and the analysis confirmed that the remains are that of a human.
The excavations which continued the day after the discovery have not revealed any other bones. However, the investigation is still ongoing to determine if they belong to one or more people.
Bringing work home
Meanwhile, the US is the widow of a mortician made another gruesome discovery. She found bodies in her garage. Once there, the police found the presence of four bodies, cremains organs and other related burial items.
The man died late August and worked for several funeral homes, apparently without a license. He brought the bodies home to prepare for their funeral. After his death, the deceased remained in their state long before being discovered by his wife.
The identification of the remains is in process, but remains difficult because of where they were discovered.
